So a lot of you people have tried both debate formats, British parliamentary and Policy debate. They are worlds apart, as I see them, I've never tried policy, but have heard a lot about it and talked to a lot of debate coaches that do policy debate and BP.
So where do you see the differences?
My own opinion is that Policy is much more intense in the research part, but much less in the presentation part, meaning much less thinking on your own feet and thinking about responses, because it is more or less structured in advance.
