A lot of people that have tried to apply for WUDC 2010 discovered that the slots were ful in minutes, I read from people around the world, that they registered in less than 2 minutes and were put on the waiting list. There should be something done about it. Here are the options that I (Bojana helped with a couple of ideas) see:
1. Lower the Team cap, and let every institution register only 1 team in the first round.
2. Not everyone is allowed to WUDC, lets make the regional tournaments decide who can go (best 20 teams from EUDC, US BP, Allasians etc)
3. Let's leave it this way
4. Let's limit the countries that would like to come
5. Let's limit the number of teams per istituion that are allowed to participate (Big institutions get 3 teams, small 1 or simmilar)

What do you think should be done?

(After we get a couple of responses I'll get the org.com and WUDC council to read this and reply, if they will agree)

I agree, we are not really happy about what happened. I would go with the option of 1 team per institution in the first round of registration. And when everyone registers 1 team, then we let the others in, if they would like to send more people.
