Webmaster:I wrote allready about IDAS, probably the best way to learn and practice British parliamentary debate. I started there and am still there, this will be my sixth time (I believe so). Read it through, you will see, we have great trainers from all around the worl, people that we have worked with in the past and have proved to have great knowledge, ideas and are also fun to work with.

Curriculum:
Students: Each Instruction day features a main lecture, exercise and
drill sessions, and two complete critiqued practice debates. Many
elective classes offered. Many training preparation sessions offered.
Judge evaluation and training offered.
Trainers: Special track created based on the needs of attending
trainers. All welcome.
Tournament:
Sponsored by IDAS, ZIP and hosted by Debate Club University of Maribor
Faculty of Law. Six preliminary rounds and semifinals in the WUDC
format. No team caps as of now. Faculty will serve as adjudication core
and administration for the tournament.
Accommodations:
Rooms and full meals provided in Ormoz and Maribor. Social activities
organized each evening.
Fees:
Includes all meals, double rooms, instructional materials,
transportation from Ormoz to Maribor, and social activities.
200 Euros for full program, 50 Euros for tournament.
Scholarships:
We hope to offer substantial scholarships to needy applicants. We are in
negotiations with sponsors now and hope to be able to offer substantial

the top-quality food from Koç University Divan Cafeteria and
accommodation at the campus as in our previous tournaments, we know
that socials are almost as important as – or even maybe more important
than – the debates in a tournament. In order to maximize the fun you
can get from Istanbul 2008, we will be providing free alcohol in our
amazing parties and the legendary Bosphorus cruise as usual. In
addition to all these, you may always expect some surprises from our
organization team that has created miracles in Euros 2007 last summer
as you have all witnessed.
Istanbul 2008 will be held between
3rd and 7th of August, 2008. The registration fee for this fantastic
tournament with 6 rounds, team cap of 72 teams and 4 different
outstanding parties – with free alcohol in each one – will be € 90 per
person.

Webmaster: I gathered a couple of friends last year and we partiipated in this tournament. I must say, it is a great one the hotel is excelent, the debate venues are nice, partying roks, and there was an unbelivable amount of free vodka, and a great tasting vodka. Mind the award. An internship in the EP. Isn't it great.
We
would the pleasure and honor to invite you to participate in the third
edition of the International Debate Tournament in Katowice, Poland.
The event will take place on the 13-15th June 2008 in Katowice – a picturesque city in southern Poland, 80km
away from Cracow. The competition's preliminary rounds will be run in
the British Parliamentary format, switching to American Parliamentary
for the playoffs. The prize for winning the tournament, apart from a
nice cup, will be an internship in the European Parliament.
For
the contestants we will provide transport from the Katowice-Pyrzowice
airport and the railway station in Katowice, accommodation in a hotel
in the city center, 2 meals a day and a level playing field. The
participation fee is 25 Euros for debaters, judges can participate free

The tournament is jointly organized by the Afish Association, Young Conservatives and the Regional Institute in Katowice.
