Esteemed Debate-Addicts,
We are proud to offer you Jacobs Open 2008 - a competitive BPS-English-
Language
Tournament in the beautiful Hanseatic City of Bremen, Germany. It will
be held from February 01.-03. 2008 again on our park-like campus at
Jacobs University in Bremen.
After the editions of 2005, 2006 and 2007, we are now
looking forward to making Jacobs Open an even greater tournament, with
a higher quality of debates, wilder parties, and fiercer competition
between nations – not least for the much sought after 'Last country at
the bar award'.
With Daniel Schut (who recently announced his own
Amsterdam Open), Isabelle Loewe (one of Europe's top ESL debaters),
Derek Lande (CA to be at World Universities' Debating Championships
2009 in Cork) and one surprise in our adjudication panel, we hope to
have hit the jackpot when it comes to the combination of fun and
competence.
