Webmaster: Well, this is great news, the organizers have a LOT of judges, so if you have a hard time finding judges to go with you to the WUDC, you just apply for their waiver programm, and you can still go!
Hi,
Just wanted to send you a quick mail to everybody who now
have places (pending payment) to update you on what is happening with
our plans for adjudication for Cork Worlds 2009. We're delighted to
report that in addition to have a massive number of teams looking to
attend worlds this year we have also had an unprecedented number of
judges looking to attend.
Its great to see that among the large number of adjudicators
registered we have some really great judges registered, but we are also
trying to cope with the fact that the large number of adjudicators who
wish to attend, constrains our ability to free up capacity for
additional teams to compete.
Therefore we are happy to say that we are in a position to reopen applications for waivers from the n-1
rule to all teams registered thus far, we should be in a position to
offer a number of waivers so we'd encourage all institutions to
consider the offer. Obviously if you have experienced or enthusiastic
judges who would like to come please send them, but if you are having
trouble filling your quota please consider this option so we can let as
many teams as possible into the competition. If you are interested in
applying please email

. Please note that all applications for waivers should be received by 6pm Cork/Dublin/London Time, on the 20th of August
We are also still hoping to attract more experienced judges to make
your judging experience all the stronger, and in particular to
facillitate any extra rooms we may be able to add to the tournament.
Therefore if any institution wishes to send additional adjudicators
they can apply by emailing

.
Please include a CV for those adjudicators you would like to send as at
this stage we are only likely to be able to accept those with
experience.
One final note is that we are aware that some institutions have
"hedged their bets", by registering more teams/judges than they
ultimately intend to send. We would ask that if you have done this, to
please confirm your final number of teams as soon as possible and get
in touch with our registration team at

to let them know so that we can release any additional slots to the teams who are anxiously waiting on the waiting list.
Finally on the topic of adjudication if you have any questions at
all about the debating or adjudication aspects of the tournament please
