I’m sorry for the Serbian people

What I’m sorry for are all the people, that do not agree with the nationalistic movements in the country. People, that believe, that Kosova should be independent if they wish so, and people that now need to suffer because of all that is going on in the country.

I am writing this post, because I’m especially sorry for all the people, that should come to Slovenia as my guest, as guests of the Pro et contra institute. A month or so ago, me and my debatie, we took a group of 6 people to NiĆ„, a town in Serbia. We had a great time there, hanging out with people and doing workshops.

They should come to Slovenia on Friday, and to Ljubljana on Monday, but the did not get their Visas. Because of the riots, and the Slovenian Embassy in Belgrade being destroyed, they were not able to get their visas. That means, that they are not able to come to Slovenia. What I heard from them, they believe, that the going-ons in their country should not be happening, and are waiting for the peace in their country.

I’m sorry for all the people that were affected in that way because of the things that are going on in Belgrade and other cities, and I hope, that we won’t see any more violence. I have no problem with Serbians not agreeing with the things going on in Kosova, but, do not destroy and wound people because of that. That is not right.

I know this is not a directly debate related post, and if you mind it, sorry, but I just had to write this down.

Technorati bloging

Technorati Profile

Just need to add that to show Technorati, that this is my blog.

How did you do this year?

Well, this is going to be the first blog, where I’m going to go the “Another year has passed article”. It is interesting, I’m in debate for 5 years now and obviously I’m not finished yet. I still have a lot of plans. This year was good, sort of.

Went to the EUDC and was kinda good at it. Of course not breaking, but this is a wish that remains for the next years. I still plan 2 more EUDCs, so that there will be opportunities.

I actually won my first tournament this year, before that I only had semis and quarters. It is a great feeling, even if I have a bad after taste, because the organizers didn’t keep their word and i didn’t receive the prize, that I should. Maybe its not their fault, as they say, we will see.

Other things were great, I have participated at organising two BP deabte tournaments, and of course helped at the organization of IDAS and it went well again. I have also added a large number of new friends, and yes, also, started my Facebook profile.

Not to forget are all the high school and middle school debate tournaments that I have organised and TABbed. It is sometimes hard work and it gets messy if they leave me alone in there, but im most cases it went well. :D

My first own debate club on the Poljane high school is running… well, lets say Ill be glad when we really go to a debate tournaments. It is a great feeling working with them and it is a thing where I learn a lot.

And I should not forget, that I found my Debatie. I just hope she doesen’t get even better, and dumps me for it… Probably she will, but Ill keep to her for as long as I can :D

It looks impressive and I hope to make even more out of it, in the next year.

Please be gentle its my first time

Installing a blog on my website is something I was thinking about for a long time. The question on what to blog about was not a problem, the question that remains is, is anyone going to read it.

Well, I don’t really mind, if no. This blog is going to be about all the debate related things that I do in my life. And there is A LOT of it, so Ill try to post as fast as possible.
