Estonia open 2012

The Estonia open was held in Tallin, Estonia on April 19-22 2012. Here are the motions that were debated:

Round 1: This house would abandon the single European monetary currency
Round 2: This house condems racially provocative art
Round 3: This house would defend Anders Breivik
Round 4: This house would choose only non religious soldiers to serve in international conflicts
Round 5: This house would only teach gender neutral pronouns in school
Semi: This house believes that current Generation Germans should not pay taxes or any other form of reparations for Nazi atrocities
Final: This house would reject a Western conception of property rights in favour of collective ownership.

EUDC 2008 Tallin results

European Champion 2008 is team Oxford A, the best speaker of the Grand Final chosen by the honorary panel was Simon Quinn (Oxford B).

ESL European champions is team Bobes Bolyai A (Romania), the best speaker of ESL finals chosen by the honorary panel was Adam Hildebrandt (HSoG A).

Round 2: This House believes that sporting bodies should penalise teams when their players commit criminal acts off the field.

Round 4: This House would make fines relative to wealth

Round 5: This house would ban the physical punishment of children by parents.

Round 6: This House believes developed countries should not accept skilled migrants from developing countries.

Round 7: This House would pay morbidly obese people to lose weight.

ESL quarter final: This House would require all schools to teach safe sex to children from age 10 regardless of parental consent
